My client is an industry leader within the Fluid Power sector having been established over 40 years they have concreted themselves as one of the largest distributors of fluid power products in the UK, supplying various industries. They are now looking to add a purchasing/procurement specialist to their engineering team. Working closely with various departments across the business, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to make a difference.\n\nPurchasing Manager\n\nGloucester \n\n£40,000 - £45,000 DOE - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, life insurance\n\nMonday to Friday working hours.\n\nYour responsibilities will include but not be limited to: \n\nManage the day-to-day procurement and supply chain processes.\nEnterprise Resource Planning.\nCreate plans and procedures for risk management and mitigation.\nOversee demand management and forecasting.\nMaterials Requirements Planning.\nLiaise with suppliers to resolve quality problems.\nNegotiate with Suppliers.\nBenchmark suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction.\nTender management\nProduce purchase orders through suppliers.\nBusiness KPI reports – Quality, Cost variances, Inventory,\nMonitor commodity costs and make recommendations.\nWork closely with all business functions.\nTo apply you MUST have or hold: \n\nCIPS Level 2 or above is desirable.\nExperience in a previous similar role.\nProject and planning skills\nBe able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nMRP/ERP experience is essential.\nKnowledge of raw materials purchasing is beneficial.\nUnderstanding of strategic sourcing\nExperience in supplier negotiation.\nGood organisational skills.\nStrong Communication skills – written and verbally.\nA strong “can do” attitude.\nAble to work under pressure.\nThis is a fantastic for you to join an amazing company that are looking to commit long term to the right person with further industry recognised purchasing training whilst helping you grow as a purchasing professional.\n\nIf you are interested in this new and exciting position then call Tom Brocklehurst on the listed number or ideally email with your current CV to (url removed)\n\n“ser-in
