Position Overview
We are seeking a purchasing manager to independently manage all purchasing activities for Standard Armament. It will be your responsibility to procure supplies and materials, coordinate outside processes, schedule maintenance, and maintain a working relationship with our vendors. This is a one-person department, so the ideal candidate will be highly organized, resourceful, and able to balance long-term planning with quick problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Source materials and supplies at competitive prices while meeting production deadlines.
- Work closely with production to monitor inventory needs and place purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Schedule maintenance for buildings and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in purchasing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and make sound purchasing decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with JobBoss is a plus.
- Competency with Microsoft Office and computers in general.
