About the Role
As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering sustainable supply chain solutions that keep the business commercially competitive while ensuring world-class supply chain performance. You will work closely with the Business Development team to provide accurate quotations for new opportunities and support existing customers, contributing to the growth and efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business expansion and contribute to improved financial performance.
- Ensure all Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets are met for new business activities.
- Deliver projects from a sustainable supply chain perspective, consistently achieving QCD objectives.
- Maintain programme management timelines and ensure successful completion of project gateways.
- Assist the Business Development team with new business enquiries.
- Identify and nurture potential talent within the team, supporting personal development and career progression.
- Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Motivate, coach, and mentor team members in a collaborative environment.
- Provide leadership within a demanding Just-In-Time (JIT) production setting.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or procurement role.
- Strong understanding of sustainable supply chain practices.
- Experience delivering projects in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and drive results.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
