Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Purchasing Manager.


Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.


Position Summary: Conducts, plans, and implements activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment. Manages the activities of buyers and purchasing planners to accomplish company objectives. Reviews and approves purchases up to a specifically authorized dollar amount. Takes the lead negotiating contracts as authorized. Coordinates purchasing activities with engineering and operations departments to maintain continuity of supply and to identify cost reduction opportunities. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. May create policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities. Monitors the cost, schedule, and performance aspects of suppliers.


What you will be doing:

  • Manages the plan for Columbus procurement requirements and create systems and policies for continuous improvement. Support other Dale division locations as needed.
  • Within established business process controls, ensures that Purchasing team is trained to plan, review, and execute procurement activities.
  • Through Purchasing team, ensures that supply levels and inventory goals are met for every function.
  • Acts as lead negotiator for contracts and company liaison with outside vendors.


What you will bring along:

  • Bachelor degree in related discipline.
  • 7-10 years related experience with purchasing knowledge and team leadership
  • Experience in vendor management and negotiation
