SUMMARY:

This position islocatedat Acela, Incproductionfacilities in Bozeman, Montana. Acela's primary business is the manufacturingand refitmentof various vehicles and trailers. Acela is a very fast-paced and forward-leaning, process-driven company that embraces clear communication and lean manufacturing principals, including the ability foreach and everyemployee to contribute to his/her own successes and improvement in workflow, process, and their own work environment.The position of Purchasing Manageris responsible forensuring Acela Inc. efficiently sources raw materials,develops strong vendor relationships,and helps production get the resources they needwhenand where they are needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Following procedures,identifieswhat needs to bepurchased, gets quotes,issuespurchaseorders, confirms purchases, manages deliveryfollow up and verifies delivery quantity and quality.

• Develops andmaintainsdetailed inventories of materials and suppliesin knownlocationsin the company,and in multiple facilities.

• Maintainsappropriatequantityof supplies and materials tooptimizeproductionandinventory levels.

• Analyzes current inventories andprocedures;suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

• Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies.

• Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensuretimelyand orderly material and production flow transitions.

• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements;identifiesand qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effort.

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create andmaintainpositive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Quickly developedunderstanding of company products andlogistics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelorsdegree in Business or related fieldrequired;Mastersdegree .

• Experience in Fishbowland/or Epicor Kineticsinventory/manufacturingsoftwarea plus.

• You havedemonstratedvalues including ethical behavior,accountability& teamwork.

• ExperienceusingERP/MRPSoftware.

• Strong MS Excelskills

• Demonstrated5+ Years ofmanufacturingpurchasingexperiencepreferred.

Physical Demands:

• Frequentlylifts-upto 50 lbs.

• Data entry at computerwith frequent walkingthroughout facility.
