Your Mission: As the Purchasing Manager, your primary objective will be to lead the purchasing department with a hands-on approach, optimizing the procurement process to meet the company's goals. You’ll work closely with project managers and the finance team to strategically source materials, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies that align with our project requirements and budgetary goals.
  • Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Review and analyze purchasing requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Build long-term partnerships with suppliers and collaborate with them to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and price fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials, minimizing project delays.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring teams.
