We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage our purchasing and inventory processes. The Purchasing Inventory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our inventory levels are sufficient to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock. This role will involve collaborating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Requirements

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with production team to ensure timely availability of materials.

Purchasing:

  • Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for materials and components.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Place purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with accounts payable to process invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternative suppliers as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, purchasing activities, and cost analysis.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing decisions.

Requirements

  • A skilled team player.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled trades background (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical) .
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
