Job Title: Purchasing & Inventory Specialist
Location: Adkins, TX
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)
Employment Type: Full-time, W-2
Compensation: $50,000.00 per year

About the Role:

We're looking for a hands-on Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to manage direct and indirect purchases and oversee inventory and warehouse operations. This role combines procurement execution with warehouse coordination - ideal for someone who enjoys being both analytical and present on the shop floor.

What You'll Do:

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials, fasteners, tools, consumables, rental equipment, and production components.

  • Request and compare 3 vendor quotes per item.

  • Follow budget guidelines per project or historical data.

  • Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and vendor performance.

  • Log all transactions using QuickBooks, Excel, and our ERP system (Odoo).

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination:

  • Supervise 1-2 warehouse employees.

  • Ensure stock rotation, usage tracking, and digital inventory records (Sortly, ERP).

  • Maintain inventory levels using min/max standards.

  • Conduct internal audits to verify accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate with production to prevent delays due to stock shortages.

Reporting & Process Improvement:

  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on inventory, vendor performance, and cost control.

  • Recommend process improvements aligned with company goals.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement and inventory in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills.

  • Fluent English (required) and Spanish ( for internal team coordination).

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Odoo a plus).

  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable working both in the office and on the shop floor.
