Purchasing Agent—HVAC / Plumbing experience !

Immediate opportunity! We are really looking for a very special person to fill this position in our busy Warehouse OPS Team!

Location: East Hanover, NJ - RUSSO BROS

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4 :30 PM / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Work Type: Full-Time- On-site

Pay: $21.00-$24.00/hr

What we are looking for:

• 3–5 years of procurement, buying, or expediting experience (HVAC/plumbing industry )
• Knowledge of inventory management and procure-to-pay P2P processes
• ServiceTitan or similar ERP system experience a plus
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Background in HVAC, plumbing, automotive service, or supply house experience
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high volume and competing priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree

What you will do:

• Execute sourcing of materials to meet cost, timing and quality objectives.
• Partner with business unit leaders and provide excellent service in support of company goals.
• Maintenance of vendor price lists and supplier relationships
• Vendor price alignment with company’s profit target
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
• Verify purchase orders by comparing items requested to take-off sheets; clarifying unclear items; and recommending alternatives.
• Verify vendor acknowledgements and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain good and positive working relationships with distributors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve quantity, quality, and supply issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Review and resolve back orders, warranty parts and returns.
