Job Summary
Responsible for compliance with the Office of Refugees Resettlement (ORR) policy on abuse and harassment and will lead the investigation of any reports regarding abuse and harassment for the organization. The Prevention of Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manage will facilitate training on abuse and harassment policies for all minors according to ORR policy and also facilitate training on abuse and harassment policies for all staff.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing implementation and compliance with the Interim Final Rule to prevent, detect, and respond to abuse and harassment involving child refugees.
- Review and evaluate progress regarding abuse reports and final reports in order to ensure proper reporting procedures as outlined by guidelines.
- Responsible for implementing systems for evaluation and monitoring of all regulatory standards that apply to the residential care program and will ensure that all members of the team are actively functioning in accordance with the standards of prevention of abuse.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies regarding abuse.
- The PSA will monitor care providers to ensure services are provided in a structured, safe and productive environment that meets respective state guidelines, relevant federal law and program policy guide.
- The PSA will provide data to the residential facility program to help identify issues and develop solutions; actively promote a culture of patient safety, proactive risk management, clinical excellence, and on-going regulatory readiness; and lead quality improvement activities.
- Ensure program adheres to the compliance guidelines for Administration for Children and Families and ORR.
- Build and maintain relationships with federal agency representatives that assist in improving grant application and project execution.
- Responsible for all reporting requirements under the program.
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
- Review reports prepared by managers to determine progress and issues.
- Travel to some meetings and periodic on-site visits of project locations.
- Provide training about Prevention of Abuse to staff as necessary.
- Other task and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Level: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields.
- At least 3 years of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues.
- Prior experience working in the program is .
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - required
Working Conditions/Physical Effort
Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Some overnight travel, public speaking, evening and weekend work are requirements of the position. Regular computer works also required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
