**Please monitor your email for communications regarding your application**No phone inquiries pleasePrimary PurposeBe familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. Can perform a variety of welding functions in addition to other methods of shaping metal, such as bending and cutting.
Responsible for maintaining quality. Responsible to learn the JobBoss process and report accurate quantities.Essential DutiesResponsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating metal components or structures, and performing quality checks on finished products. May also be required to set up fabricating machines and design custom templates.Other DutiesAssist other departments as required/directed. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Weld proficiently
- Construct base templates if necessary
- Measure and mark out cutting and bending lines.
- Set up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-check design specifications before commencing cutting work.
- Fabricate and construct metal components.
- Grind and finish completed products.
- Perform quality checks on completed products.
- Comply with all safety regulations.
- Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents.
- Understand and translate technical instructions
- Excellent communication skills
- Good manual dexterity with hand and power tools
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented
- Read a calibrated tape measure.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
