Protein Scientist - Phage Display (Scientist/Senior Scientist)
Job Description
Role Summary
In this role you will be a core part of the Protein Science team, working collaboratively with protein scientists to develop soluble high affinity bispecific TCR molecules suitable for later stage clinical development.
Key Deliverables
- Affinity enhance and produce soluble TCR-based therapeutics for clinical development using cutting-edge molecular biology techniques.
- Work collaboratively with the Cell Biology and Engineering teams to guide optimisation and development of soluble TCRs.
- Effectively design and conduct experimental work to align with Company priorities and meet scientific timelines, report results succinctly and effectively.
- Presenting work to your department, project team and the company leadership team
Experience/Qualifications
- A PhD in a relevant biological subject with relevant experience
- (Required) Experience with affinity maturation of TCRs or antibodies using phage display
- (Required) Experienced with a broad range of molecular biology techniques including the design and modification of expression vectors and a range of cloning strategies and techniques
- (Desired) Experience in the design and optimisation of purification protocols to produce high quality proteins and in biochemical analyses of protein properties
- (Desired) Experienced in mammalian expression of proteins (CHO, HEK293 cells)
- (Desired) Experience in developing and executing protein expression, and purification using various FPLC based techniques
- (Desired) Experience in analyses of protein properties using SPR and BLI or other protein binding assay techniques
- (Desired) Direct hands-on laboratory experience in developing high affinity antibodies or soluble TCR molecules
- (Required) Strong organisation and multitasking skills
