What Is the Maintenance Training Program?

This 120-day, full-time, paid program gives you the opportunity to build hands-on experience in essential apartment maintenance skills. You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals, receive guided training, and begin building a long-term career in an essential and growing industry.


You’ll be trained in:

  • HVAC and Mechanical Systems – Maintain comfort and building operations

  • Electrical Work – Safely troubleshoot and resolve common issues

  • Plumbing – Manage everything from small leaks to full installations

  • Pool Operations – Learn pool maintenance, chemical safety, and compliance standards


This program is specific to apartment maintenance, providing you with real-world experience in a high-demand field that helps us keep our communities safe, clean, and comfortable.


Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment

  • Have reliable transportation and are open to rotating between Dallas, Houston, and Abilene during and after training


What Can You Expect?

  • First Few Weeks: In-depth, hands-on training at our Plano, TX corporate office

  • Full-time Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, including occasional weekends

  • On-the-Job Training: Following onboarding, you’ll work at one of our local apartment communities, assisting with general work orders, make-readies, and preventative maintenance alongside experienced technicians

  • HVAC Certification Prep: Around day 90, you'll begin preparing for your EPA HVAC certification exam with full support from our training team. You'll have three chances to pass the exam within the final 30 days, proctored in-house by our certified instructor.


What Comes Next?

After completing the 120-day program and passing the EPA HVAC certification, participants will be considered for a full-time position as a Service Technician I.

From there, you’ll have a clear career path toward roles such as Service Technician II, Service Technician III, Maintenance Supervisor, and beyond.
