Job Overview
We are actively seeking a seasoned Superintendent with federal project experience to lead field operations on projects governed by federal agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, or similar. You will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards.
From preconstruction through final handoff, youll manage field crews, drive schedules, ensure quality, and uphold Abshers high standards of performance on complex, mission-critical projects.
What Youll Do
- Lead all field operations on federal construction sitesfrom mobilization to close-out
- Enforce and monitor compliance with EM-385-1-1 standards , safety protocols, and project-specific QC plans
- Coordinate site activities with Project Managers, trade partners, federal inspectors, and subcontractors
- Maintain detailed daily reports, quality control logs, and safety documentation as required by federal contracts
- Manage and mentor field labor teams, ensuring performance, professionalism, and morale
- Drive project schedules and adjust look-aheads to stay on time and within budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site federal client representatives(NAVFAC/USACE)
- Conduct preparatory and initial inspections in collaboration with project QC and safety staff

Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of field leadership experience on federal construction projects
- Direct experience with NAVFAC, USACE (Army Corps of Engineers), or other federal agencies
- Strong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and government safety/quality protocols
- Familiarity with government contract documentation, submittals, and reporting procedures
- Proficiency in field management software (e.g., Procore, P6 )
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR required; EM 385-1-1 Certification strongly
- Strong communication skills and experience interacting with federal clients and inspectors

Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000 $160,000
