Project Procurement & Contracts Manager

NRL are recruiting for a Project Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead supply chain strategy and contract management for major engineering projects. Based in Liverpool, this is a 6-month contract position operating outside IR35—ideal for a commercially astute professional ready to make an immediate impact.

We’re hiring for a strategic leader who can:



Manage end-to-end procurement and contract delivery—from market engagement to completion

Lead supplier performance across commercial, manufacturing, and quality metrics

Apply deep knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, IChemE, and FIDIC contracts

Collaborate across disciplines to define packages of work and optimise programme schedules

Mentor junior staff and contribute to documentation including procurement strategies and risk registersYou’ll need to bring:

Proven experience in procurement and contract management within engineering and construction

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills at senior level

Knowledge of complex cost estimates and supply chain risk management

Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement

Proficiency in Office 365 tools including SharePoint and ExcelBonus Points For:

Site Safety Passport (CSCS or CCNSG)

Experience in the food industry

Familiarity with chemical/process plant projectsThe Details:
