Project Planner – Engineering / Defence Sector Project Support\n\n Location: Office-based (Portsmouth)\n Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm\n Contract: Minimum 3 months (strong potential for long-term work – 2–3 years\n Experience Required: 3–5 years\n Pay Method: CIS / Ltd Company\n Day Rate: Negotiable depending on experience\n\nOverview \n\n We are currently seeking an experienced Planner to support a major engineering programme within the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile project with strong extension potential and the possibility of permanent employment.\n\nKey Responsibilities \n\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules\nCoordinate planning activities across engineering and delivery teams\nTrack progress against programme milestones\nIdentify risks, delays, and resource constraints\nSupport reporting requirements for internal stakeholders\nEnsure planning outputs align with project delivery objectives\nRequirements ✅\n\n3–5 years’ experience in a planning role (engineering, infrastructure, marine, or defence environments desirable)\nStrong scheduling and coordination skills\nProficiency in Project Office (essential)\nExperience supporting structured project timelines\nConfident communicator able to liaise with multidisciplinary teams\nAble to work full-time onsite in Portsmouth\nWhat’s on Offer ⭐\n\nImmediate start available\nMinimum 3-month contract with strong likelihood of long-term extension\nOpportunity to support a major defence-sector programme\nPotential pathway to permanent employment\n\nIf you're a motivated Planner looking for a stable opportunity within a specialist engineering environment, we’d love to hear from you.\n\n  This contract role couls start as soon as next week so please get in touch with Laura at RGB for more info
