Position Overview:

The primary duties of this position include successful leadership of multiple projects and key client relationships for projects in our Energy, Transmission and Distribution group.

The Project Manager will manage, direct, and take ownership of projects (performance, safety, quality, schedule, and budget) and the project management team (Project Manager, Project Engineer, APM, Superintendent, and field personnel).

This person will be responsible for contract administration, project planning, labor, equipment, and resource management. Project Managers will oversee the project management team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional and satisfactory relationships with Owners, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

Will require 10-15% travel to project sites for reporting on milestones, performance, safety, quality, and budget.

Specific Responsibilities:

Manage projects from initiation through estimate, pre-construction, execution, commissioning, and closeout.

Ensure contractual agreements are met and projects are performed safely within budget and schedule.

Manage project financials, approve invoicing and billing, track variances, and report financial performance to leadership.

Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Negotiate contracts with vendors and obtain approvals as needed.

Ensure contracts are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and include appropriate service level agreements.

Assist in establishing project execution plans and coordinate scheduling with the project team.

Collaborate with construction management and field personnel.

Negotiate change orders or deviations from contracts.

Source and qualify subcontractors.

Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Coordinate with clients, plan strategically, manage scope, finances, staffing, environmental compliance, and schedules.

Maintain client satisfaction and explore new business opportunities.

Work with project controls to track schedules and costs.

Assist with internal financials, staffing, legal, risk, and change management.

Qualifications:

BS with 12 years of relevant experience or MS with 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.

Experience with government, technical, or infrastructural construction projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work remotely.

Valid driver's license required.
