Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager – Rail (Contract)\n\nLocations: York / Peterborough\nContract: Ongoing\nRate: Day rate negotiable\nStart: ASAP\n\nWe are currently recruiting for Contract Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to support delivery of rail infrastructure projects within a Network Rail environment.\n\nThese are immediate opportunities for experienced Rail Project Managers / Assistant Project Managers to join active programmes focused on asset protection, rail infrastructure and project delivery.\n\nThe Roles\n\nWe have two live positions:\n\n * Project Manager – York\n\n * Assistant Project Manager – Peterborough\n\nBoth roles will support the delivery of rail infrastructure projects, working within a regulated Network Rail environment and collaborating with key stakeholders across project teams.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n * Deliver rail projects in line with Network Rail standards, governance and safety requirements\n\n * Support end-to-end project lifecycle delivery from planning through to completion\n\n * Manage and coordinate stakeholders including contractors, engineers and client teams\n\n * Ensure compliance with rail safety, asset protection and infrastructure standards\n\n * Monitor project progress, risks and performance\n\n * Support reporting, programme tracking and project controls\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within the rail sector\n\n * Strong experience working in a Network Rail environment\n\n * Background in rail infrastructure, asset protection or project delivery\n\n * Understanding of project lifecycle, governance, safety and compliance\n\n * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills\n\n * Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated project environment\n\nDesirable\n\n * Experience in Asset Protection (ASPRO) or rail interface management\n\n * Relevant project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent)\n\nWhy Apply\n\n * Immediate contract opportunities\n\n * Competitive day rates (negotiable)\n\n * Work on active rail infrastructure programmes\n\n * Opportunity to join well-established project delivery teams\n\n * Strong pipeline of future contract work\n\nKeywords:\nProject Manager Rail, Assistant Project Manager Rail, Network Rail Jobs, Rail Infrastructure, Asset Protection, ASPRO, Rail Project Manager, Rail Contracts UK, Railway Projects, Rail Delivery, Rail Programme Management\n\nIf you are a Rail Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with Network Rail experience and are available or coming to the end of a contract, apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion
