Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Systems to lead HVAC system engineering and installation projects. This role will oversee project execution, resources, budgets, timelines, quality, and customer relationships while ensuring contractual and company objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Project Management & Technical Leadership

\n

\n
• Manage installation projects, ensuring goals, timelines, resources, materials, and budgets are aligned.

\n

• Develop HVAC designs for various spaces onboard ships, including supporting calculations.

\n

• Select appropriate HVAC system components based on design requirements and calculations.

\n

• Prepare professional drawing packages, including single-line, double-line, installation, and equipment drawings.

\n

• Identify and resolve installation issues while managing and documenting changes and requirements.

\n

• Ensure the quality of project deliverables and installations.

\n

• Monitor project progress, earned value, deliverables, acceptance plans, costs, and schedules.

\n

• Coordinate supplier deliverables with project timelines and quality requirements.

\n

• Work closely with Product Engineering and Packaging teams to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.

\n

• Lead and support Installation Managers across different shipyards and assist with technical, supply chain, and client-related challenges.

\n

Customer Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.

\n

• Maintain clear communication regarding project progress, risks, issues, and milestones.

\n

• Proactively manage project scope and change requests.

\n

• Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns effectively.

\n

\n

\n

Contract & Financial Management

\n

\n
• Monitor contract deliverables, specifications, costs, and customer satisfaction.

\n

• Assist with contractual agreements and change request negotiations.

\n

• Manage project finances, budgets, and cost controls to support profitability.

\n

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

\n

• 8+ years of experience in HVAC system engineering/design or HVAC system operation and maintenance.

\n

• Experience with an engineering-related organization .

\n

• Proven experience managing ship installation, refurbishment, or marine HVAC projects.

\n

• Strong working knowledge of project management software.

\n

• Good understanding of project finance and cost control.

\n

• PMP certification is an asset.

\n

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

\n

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

\n

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

\n

• Strong business acumen with a long-term, growth-oriented mindset.
