We are seeking a seasoned Stormwater engineer who is eager to build our name in the Central Texas market. This engineer would be a seller-doer to lead our Stormwater practice in San Antonio and surrounding counties. Job Summary

The Project Manager role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and budget by coordinating resources, defining objectives, and overseeing quality control during the project’s lifecycle as part of the overall program.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Way: Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables—keeping projects on track and clients informed.
  • Be a Client Partner: Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new opportunities, and position the team for future projects. Understand client goals and decision-making processes.
  • Mentor & Motivate: Coach and supervise project team members and contractors to foster professional growth and successful delivery.
  • Drive Quality: Oversee and review project documents to ensure technical accuracy, quality assurance, and alignment with industry standards.
  • Lead Project Delivery: Guide the preparation of reports, technical presentations, budgets, permits, and construction plans.
  • Communicate Success: Define project milestones and success criteria, keeping the team and stakeholders aligned throughout the project life cycle.
  • Evaluate & Improve: Conduct project close-out reviews, lessons learned sessions, and prepare recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support Growth: Develop teaming strategies, lead proposal efforts, and participate in client interviews to secure new work.

Requirements:

Required Education & Experience

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction of drainage and stormwater systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with key hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and mapping software and drainage criteria, such as:
    • HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS
    • HY-8
    • ArcGIS Pro
    • ORD DU
    • TxDOT Hydraulic Design Manual
    • City of San Antonio Storm Water Design Criteria Manual
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to develop project schedules and budgets, coordinate design efforts across multiple offices, and ensure successful delivery from concept to completion.
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Experience in business development, QA/QC, recruiting, and mentoring engineering staff.
  • Technical Studies: Background in floodplain and drainage studies, providing technical insight that guides smarter solutions.
