Site / Project Manager – Demolition & Structural Alterations



Location: London & Home Counties

About the Contractor:

We’re representing a well-established demolition and structural alterations contractor with a strong track record delivering complex mechanical demolition projects across London and the South East. The business is known for its technical capability, modern fleet, and commitment to safe, efficient delivery within commercial, industrial, and residential environments.



The Role:



An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site / Project Manager to join a forward-thinking demolition contractor and take ownership of multiple mechanical demolition and structural alteration projects. The role is ideal for someone confident in leading site teams, managing high-risk demolition works, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.



This position offers genuine long-term progression — with a clearly defined path to step up into a Contracts Manager position and, in time, into Operations Management. It’s a perfect move for someone looking to take the next step in their career while contributing to the growth of an ambitious and expanding business.



Responsibilities:



Lead day-to-day management of demolition and structural alteration projects



Coordinate labour, plant, and subcontractors to meet programme targets



Oversee all health, safety, environmental and quality compliance on site



Review and manage method statements, risk assessments, and progress reporting



Liaise with clients, structural engineers, and senior management to ensure smooth project delivery



Drive a positive safety culture and high operational standards across all works



Requirements:



Proven experience in mechanical demolition and structural alterations (minimum 3–5 years in a management capacity)



Strong understanding of HSEQ and CDM regulations



Ability to plan, resource, and deliver projects within programme and budget



CCDO and SMSTS (or equivalent)



Excellent communication and leadership skills
