Job Description
A growing company specialising in the delivery of end-to-end turnkey solutions across the process industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of on-site installation projects.
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead industrial pipework installation projects across multiple laboratory and healthcare sites, with a specific focus on medical gas systems. This role predominantly covers locations across the South of England.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle for industrial pipework and medical gas system installations
Review and manage construction contracts, and oversee mechanical design coordination
Develop project programmes, allocate labour, and drive workforce productivity
Procure materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with HTM 02-01 and relevant medical gas standards
Conduct site surveys, manage site setup, and ensure full H&S compliance (RAMS, COSHH)
Lead client meetings, monitor progress, control budgets, and manage variations
Supervise Contract Managers and deliver validation/compliance documentation for medical gas systems
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in managing industrial or mechanical engineering projects
Strong background in medical gas systems is (design, installation, validation, commissioning)
Solid understanding of pipework system installations
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for medical gas applications
Skilled in contract management, project programming, and cost control
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of H&S requirements and ability to manage multiple customer sites
The Package
Competitive salary: £60,000 – £80,000 with progression opportunities
