Job Description

Effectively manage Peerless-AV product development projects and assure projects are completed on time, within budget and meeting all customer, product functionality & compliance requirements. Has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a customer project as well as all standard products currently in development. Serve as the central point of contact, coordinating communication between internal & external stakeholders, and project team.

Qualifications

Education:      

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business MGT, Product Development or related Engineering field  
  • Project MGT Certification a plus

Experience:    

  • Minimum 5 years Project MGT experience in Product Development & manufacturing industry, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from concept to launch.
  • Audio-Visual mounting industry experience . 
  • Strong understanding of product development process and project management. 

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal & leadership skills to be able to interact, manage projects risk and changes with all levels within the organization and external stakeholders: customers & partners.
  • Excellent communications & presentation skills to clearly express ideas & concepts in writing and verbally. 
  • Technical aptitude & understanding of product development, including design, testing, engineering & MFG
  • Ability to think strategically, critically and creatively. 
  • Proven organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to address challenges & make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work independently and in a Team environment.
  • Strong MS Office (MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word), other Project MGT platforms skills. 

ESSENTIAL RESULTS:

  • Works closely with Product MGT, Engineering, MFG, QA roles & Executive Team on standard & custom products being introduced, developed / revised. Assure projects gates & deliverables are effectively & efficiently managed and documented through all phases.
  • Cohesive daily communication between the PM, Sales, Customer (custom projects), Engineering, Quality, Marketing communications and Manufacturing.
  • Report on projects status, any delays, escalate, provide guidance, direction & solutions
  • Manage project work and act on variances from the plan as well as bring projects to closure, document project execution and suggest process improvements.
  • Understanding of the company's business functions and work processes.
  • Aware of the Quality & Environmental Policies & Objectives and understand your role & contribution towards these goals and how activities in your area contribute towards these objectives.
  • QMS & EMS Master List – aware where to find documented policies, procedures & instructions 
  • Aware of Significant Environmental Aspects & Impacts (Environmental MGT System)
  • Understand Environmental Compliance obligations & implications for non-complying
  • Proper MGT & handling of Hazardous & non-hazardous Waste, including recycling.
  • Participate & support Peerless Emergency Preparedness & response plan.
  • Contribute & support QMS & EMS Policies, Objectives, initiatives & improvements
  • Perform other duties as required.

Project Management:

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Define project success criteria & disseminate it to stakeholders throughout project life cycle.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time (constant computer-based work)
  • Must be able to enter a plant/warehouse (can range in temperature, humidity and dust levels).
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
  • Occasional bending (at knees) or lifting boxes/packages 2-30 lbs.
