Project Manager – Wet Utilities (Pipeline Construction)
Location: Southern California | Salary: $120,000 – $175,000 | Full-Time
Metric Geo is recruiting on behalf of a well-established general contractor specializing in pipeline construction. This contractor is expanding their team and seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in wet utilities to lead public works projects across Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties.
Position Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex sewer, water, and storm drain projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage field teams, ensure project milestones are met, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of wet utility projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Supervise and motivate field staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
- Develop and refine project strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Track project progress, budgets, and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation in compliance with industry regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in pipeline construction, with a focus on sewer, water, and storm drain systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Experience:
- Direct experience with wet utility construction projects.
- Familiarity with public works contracting in Southern California.
