KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of AASHTO, State (FDOT) and Municipal (Green Book) design criteria, FDOT Specifications and Standard Plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Management skills are required to lead and direct a team of inspectors.
- Ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgement in anticipating and solving roadway construction issues.
- Ability to manage project budget and schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversight of Asset Maintenance Contractors daily work.
- Performs field reviews to identify work needs and to verify work completion.
- Work orders issuance and close out.
- Attend meetings with client and contractors.
- Review and provides input on cost proposals from Contractors.
- Performs and directs others in accordance with company’s policies and to the
- satisfaction of the client’s requirements.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of asset maintenance contracts to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of roadway construction inspection or management is required
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
- BS Degree in Engineering or Construction or related field
