Overview
Perreca Electric Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team as part of our long-term growth and continued investment in the future of our operations. We are looking for a candidate who can step into the role and take ownership of projects from preconstruction and estimating through execution and close-out. The ideal candidate will have the experience, leadership, and judgment to manage project costs, schedules, manpower, client relationships, and field operations from day one.
Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets and estimates for new opportunities
- Perform takeoffs, scope reviews, and value engineering
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Support bid submissions and preconstruction deliverables
- Participate in design coordination with clients, engineers, and design teams
- Assist with budgeting and planning for design-build, design-assist, and negotiated projects
- Manage electrical construction projects from $5M+
- Transition projects from estimating into full project management upon award
- Lead coordination with General Contractors, clients, engineers, vendors, and other trades
- Develop and manage project schedules, manpower planning, procurement, and logistics
- Manage submittals, RFIs, ASIs, change directives, and design updates
- Support field supervision to maintain productivity, quality, and safety
- Champion Perreca’s safety culture on every project
- Lead QA/QC efforts to ensure installations meet contract documents, specifications, code requirements, and client expectations
- Conduct project meetings and maintain project documentation
- Build and maintain project budgets and cost-to-complete forecasts
- Identify, price, and negotiate change orders
- Manage billing, invoicing, and project financial reporting
- Oversee punch lists, as-builts, O&M manuals, and project close-out documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Electrical Construction Project Management experience
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical construction projects valued at $5M+
- Experience preparing electrical budgets and estimates
- Experience managing Electrical Union Labor and Field Manpower
- Strong ability to read electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with preconstruction budgeting and design coordination; design-build experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Experience working for an electrical contractor
Technical Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Project)
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with project coordination software such as Navisworks and Bluebeam
- Proficiency in ConEst or similar estimating software
- Revit experience is a plus

Additional Requirements
- Ability to report to Perreca’s main office in Newburgh, NY and travel to project sites throughout the Hudson Valley as required
