We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager in the Placer County area. The ideal candidate will serve as a point of contact for managing the scope and budget of the projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a range of low to moderate complexity.
  • Proactively recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and resolution of issue.
  • Develops and defines project scope and objectives.
  • Establishes and leads project team and agreed-upon roles and responsibilities.
  • Obtains commitment of detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resource, contingency and communication plans.
  • Obtains management approval as needed and is responsible for on-going project tracking, analysis and resolution of project cost, scope, resource and schedule issues.
  • Ensures project documentation is maintained.
  • Ability to manage accurate project cost, forecast, and accruals.
  • Serves as primary point of contact with client regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support and schedule attainment.
  • Ability to communicate all aspects of project effectively.
  • Develops, implements, and follows all policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work closely with the Project Team to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to client’s satisfaction.
  • Reports regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a technical discipline from an accredited curriculum and four years of work-related experience or eight years of experience in significant related work experience in lieu of education requirements.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly desired.
  • Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and MS Projects
