Project Manager – Commercial Construction

The Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Success in this role means delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while fostering strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President and General Manager of the Arizona office and collaborate cross-functionally with Estimators, Project Engineers, and Business Development teams.
Responsibilities:

Lead the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from budgeting and design through permitting, construction, and closeout.

Manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

Oversee project financials, including billing, cost controls, and change management processes.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, and on-site project representatives.

Mentor and guide Project Engineers and Interns throughout project delivery.

Review and interpret project proposals, plans, and specifications to optimize resource allocation and execution.

Ensure compliance with project schedules, budget goals, and quality standards.

Prepare and present project updates to leadership, clients, and key stakeholders.
Requirements:

5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel; experience with Procore, Timberline, Sage, and On-Screen Takeoff is .

Strong understanding of Design/Build project delivery methods.

Experience with wood frame construction and large-scale multifamily projects ($40M+).

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Commercial estimating experience is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.
Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 per year, plus annual discretionary bonus (5–15% based on project and individual performance).
Location: Based in Mesa/Phoenix, AZ. This is an in-office position with project site visits required. Travel to the Minneapolis headquarters will be part of onboarding and occasional training.
