Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for a Project Manager, ideally with strong mechanical process knowledge, to oversee a major heat off-take project at their Energy from Waste Power Station in Croydon, South London. This role is a Contract position for 18 months, outside of IR35.\n\nThe Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) comes with a day rate from £550.00 to £600.00.\n\nRole responsibilities and key skills for the role:\n\nContributing towards the selection of contract execution strategy and make recommendations for most effective delivery strategy\nCoordinate production of basis of design and optioneering exercises to ensure clear definition of project scope of words\nOversee the successful delivery of all aspects of the design, procurement and execution of the project\nEnsure the project if delivered in accordance with all technical, HSE, legislative and budget requirements\nCoordinate interfaces with operations and the Energy Services Company (ESCo) to ensure smooth integration of the ERF's heat recovery equipment and the ERFs heat pipe to ensure both heat off-take and supply are provided in accordance with the agreement\nDevelop, maintain and coordinate the project execution programmes\nGenerate and secure CAPEX cost application requests and maintaining approved budgets undertaking regular variance analyses and forecasting\nCoordinate with all project stakeholders and lead regular meetings with effective agendas\nManager the contractual relationship with client's consultants and ensure the consultant is performing in accordance with the agreement\nIdeally degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Chemical Engineering\nA formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH will be advantageous\nPrior full project lifecycle experience on similar projects (CHP, Energy from Waste, Biomass, District Heating, etc) from design phase through to execution\nExcellent contract management experience\nAbility to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders\nPossessing a good mechanical process engineering background (understanding steam turbines, heat off-take pipes, etc)Location, day rate and timeframe of the Project Manager (Mechanical) position:\n\nCroydon, UK\n£550.00 to £600.00 per day (Outside IR35)\nImmediate start date\n18 months contract\n\nINDPOW\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
