A leading M&E service provider, based in Leeds, are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Maintenance and Projects Division, managing M&E, Facilities Management, and Building Services projects from enquiry to final account.

About the role
\n
You will lead safe, efficient project delivery, act as a key client contact, manage commercial performance, and identify opportunities for improvement, sustainability, and growth.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
Project Delivery & Planning
\n
· Manage projects from enquiry to completion, handover, and final account.
\n
· Define scope, deliverables, programmes, milestones, and resource requirements.
\n
· Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, and specialist resources.
\n
· Monitor progress, risks, dependencies, variations, and site requirements.
\n
\n
Commercial Management
\n
· Prepare quotations, tenders, scopes of work, and technical proposals.
\n
· Manage costs, profitability, WIP, valuations, applications, invoices, and final accounts.
\n
· Control variations, change orders, and additional works opportunities.
\n
\n
Client & Stakeholder Management
\n
· Act as the main client and stakeholder contact.
\n
· Build strong relationships and lead progress meetings, site reviews, and updates.
\n
· Provide technical and commercial guidance and identify growth or service improvement opportunities.
\n
\n
Technical Oversight
\n
· Review drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits, and commissioning requirements.
\n
· Ensure compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.
\n
· Support delivery and resolve technical issues across HVAC, heating, ventilation, water services, plant, and associated systems.
\n
\n
Procurement & Supplier Management
\n
· Identify, procure, and coordinate materials, equipment, goods, and services.
\n
· Evaluate subcontractor and supplier performance and review technical submissions.
\n
\n
Leadership & Team Management
\n
· Lead, allocate, and monitor work across engineering teams, supervisors, and support staff.
\n
· Provide mentoring, technical support, and cross-discipline collaboration.
\n
\n
Quality, Health & Safety
\n
· Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and client procedures.
\n
· Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and safe system reviews.
\n
· Promote health and safety, monitor quality, and address incidents or non-conformance.
\n
\n
Commissioning & Handover
\n
· Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and close-out.
\n
· Coordinate O&M documentation, client training, warranty, and post-handover support.
\n
\n
Skills & Experience
\n
· Experience managing projects in FM, Building Services, M&E, or Hard FM environments.
\n
· Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical building systems.
\n
· Commercial experience, including budgets, reporting, cost control, and final accounts.
\n
· Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation.
\n
· Strong coordination, client-facing, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
· Confident managing multiple projects and using Microsoft Office or project management systems.
\n
\n
Desirable Qualifications & Certifications
\n
· Relevant Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or Facilities Management qualification.
\n
· Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile, or equivalent.
\n
· IOSH, SMSTS, SSSTS, NEBOSH, or similar certification.
\n
· Knowledge of CDM Regulations, permit-to-work systems, statutory compliance, CAFM, and scheduling software.
\n
· Professional membership and a full UK Driving Licence are desirable.
