Summary

TechConnect is seeking a Project Manager for an industry leading client in Tulsa, OK.  Our client is looking for an individual that is well versed in project management best practices and principles to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, solve problems, and help improve the business and the overall project management practice. 

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning, communication and delivery for all information technology (infrastructure/software development) related projects.  You will be the liaison between IT and the internal business units, discussing their needs, the technical aspects for each project, set proper expectations, timelines, outcomes, and deliver projects on time and within budget.  You work heavily with the IT Manager to align projects and timelines, provide updates and make recommendations, lead successful project implementations, and work with technical leaders and stakeholders to ensure all infrastructure and software development projects are thoroughly scoped (quoted, planned, delivered on time) utilizing a standard project management framework. 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Evaluate IT projects and procedures, and recognize/address opportunities for improvement.
• Discuss project strategies and communicate risks to all involved (technical/non-technical team members, leadership, etc.).
• Create and define project scope and watch for scope change.
• Establish and ensure proper UAT testing procedures.
• Ensure that target deadlines and project costs are aligned, on track and being met.  If not, effectively communicate with all involved, discuss the project variation, and set a correction plan.
• Create and maintain the proper project documentation for each project.
• Work diligently to ensure customer and project success.

To be successful in this role you must be able to communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal team members and stakeholders, and deliver exceptional service and support while properly managing project expectations.  You must be organized, have the ability to work independently, but also thrive in a collaborative team environment. 

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience working in a Project Management position with a specific focus on information technology and/or software development projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field, and/or relevant work experience in project management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Highly desired: PMP certification and/or other established PM framework and principles.
• Highly desired: ERP project management experience.
• High attention to detail, organized with strong documentation and analytical problem solving skills. 
• High integrity and moral standards.
• Experience with any financial management systems, any open invoice, Ariba, or integration experience allowing financial communication is a plus.
• Self-driven with a “Can Do” attitude.

Hybrid Work Environment

• 2 days in the office (Tuesday/Thursday), 3 days remote (Monday/Wednesday/Friday).
