The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $94,490.40 to $118,113.00.
 

Job Summary

Ensure efficient scheduling and coordination of meter installations within 2-5 days of readiness while integrating advanced technical expertise in metering systems to support Distributed Energy Resources (DER) interconnection processes.

Key Responsibilities

Meter Scheduling and Coordination:

Manage and track meter installation schedules using PowerClerk and SAP systems.

Ensure prompt installation timelines, adhering to a 2-5 day readiness window.

Address site-specific challenges with Meter Engineering and field technicians.

Workflow Development and Process Improvement:

Develop and implement SOPs for metering workflows, focusing on efficiency and automation.

Integrate automation solutions leveraging PowerClerk, SAP, and other tools.

Collaborate on enhancements to interconnection workflows to eliminate bottlenecks.

Technical Expertise and Metering System Management:

Provide advanced technical support on meter configurations and designs, including transformer sizing and loss calculations.

Collaborate on projects involving current transformer sizing, transmission interconnections, and smart meter implementation.

Support and oversee lifecycle processes of metering systems, including equipment selection, programming, and performance verification.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all metering activities meet PURA, ISO-NE, and other regulatory standards.

Generate accurate reports and support audit requirements for regulatory compliance.

Training and Stakeholder Communication:

Facilitate training for field technicians and DER staff on updated tools and workflows.

Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external contractors, and customers regarding metering issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in metering operations or DER processes;
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in PowerClerk, SAP, and GIS systems.
    • Advanced knowledge of meter forecasting, design, and loss calculation tools.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
