We are seeking a Project Manager to join a large manufacturing company to help with cost reduction and process improvement for a long term contract.
Pay: $50/HR
Description:
Mainly handles cost reduction and process improvement projects for the manufacturing floor.
Cost reduction
Project management
Six sigma background is a must
Supply chain experience
Manufacturing experience heavily
First round of interviews are virtual, next round on site
M/Tue/Th work from home
Team of 5-6 people in US and Mexico
1 year contract, not likely to be brought on permanent
Bachelors degree heavily , will take associates with proper experience
Duties: Manages the development and implementation process of projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects. Plans and directs schedules and may monitor budget/spending. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints. This position has overall project management responsibility. Frequently interacts with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of technical information/project activities. Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the process by which to meet goals. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, generally instructions on new assignments. Legal authorization to work in the US is required. Skills: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. A experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves wide range of issues in creative ways and effective ways.
