Seeking an experienced project manager to join the team who will be responsible for scheduling contractors in practical order, ensuring work is efficiently completed.
General Description
Duties include:
- Ensures the work is completed effectively per the scope of work.
- Conducts job-site inspections to review the progress of work.
- Evaluates RHA properties and presents opportunities for capital improvement projects throughout various portfolios.
- Plans and organizes projects through to completion.
- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, industrial or electrical trades.
- Ensures work is performed safely given occupational hazards associated with the work.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer’s manuals and specifications.
- Prepares or accesses reports and tracks materials and labor records.
- Collaborates with internal and external customers to include , colleagues, contractors and city inspectors.
Special Requirements
- NC Driver License
- Visual Assessment Certification on Lead-Based Paint (may be obtained upon date of hire)
Desirable Education & Training
- High school diploma or its equivalent; and four years of experience in construction work with responsibility for supervision and construction cost estimating, or an equivalent combination of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in this role.
- Practical knowledge of asbestos and lead based paint abatement, bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish), and experience working with MS Office 365 and Yardi software is .
