Position Overview

The Kitchenworks is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee all aspects of our kitchen design and installation projects at our Fort Wayne, IN showroom location. This position will be responsible for managing projects from the point of sale through completion, ensuring client satisfaction, quality control, and efficient project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen design, cabinetry installation, cabinetry construction, or related fields, with excellent organizational and communication skills and detailed knowledge of proper cabinetry and appliance installation processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all sold projects after order confirmation proving through to completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients from that point of the process on
  • Verify field conditions through on-site measurements and assessments and interface with project designer throughout order confirmation
  • Coordinate with designers, contractors, and installation crews to ensure project timelines are met
  • Arrange all logistics for material delivery and installation scheduling
  • Schedule and oversee installation crews, ensuring quality workmanship
  • Conduct periodic and final inspections of job sites to maintain accuracy and quality
  • Resolve any issues or delays in a timely manner
  • Ensure invoices are sent by accounting and payments are collected according to contract terms
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records
  • Provide regular status updates to clients throughout the design, approval, production, and installation phases
  • Collaborate with internal team members, providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and industry partners
  • Travel throughout Northern Indiana and surrounding areas for client site visits and project oversight

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, preferably in kitchen design, interior remodeling, or construction
  • Demonstrated Detailed Knowledge of kitchen and bath design principles, materials, and installation processes
  • Understanding of related plumbing, electrical, and structural building codes
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with kitchen design software (2020 Design, Chief Architect, AutoCAD or similar) is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits throughout Northern Indiana
  • Must pass background check and drug screening tests
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • Experience in the kitchen and bath industry
  • Background in cabinetry / millwork installation and construction management
  • Deep knowledge of high-end appliances
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Indiana
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record of maintaining project profitability while ensuring client satisfaction

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visit job sites, which may involve climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations throughout Northern Indiana
