Job Description

Project Manager – Marine Civil Engineering

Location: Across Scotland - as is the nature of developments within the marine sector, you'll be required to work 'away from home' in order to lead/manage these projects.)

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in marine civil engineering?

We are seeking a capable and hands-on professional to lead the successful delivery of complex marine projects across Scotland’s coastline and island communities (including piers, jetties, slipways, harbours, and sea defences).

About the Role
As Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle — from tendering and planning through to execution, completion and handover. You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the delivery of marine civil engineering projects from inception to completion

  • \n

    Prepare and review tenders, cost plans, schedules and project documentation

  • \n

    Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors

  • \n

    Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards

  • \n

    Manage budgets, programmes, risks and resources

  • \n

    Build strong relationships with clients, statutory bodies and local stakeholders

  • \n

    Monitor progress and report on project performance

About You

  • \n

    Proven experience in managing marine or coastal civil engineering projects — this is essential

  • \n

    Strong understanding of marine working environments, including tidal operations and temporary works

  • \n

    Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

  • \n

    Ability to work independently in remote locations

  • \n

    Full UK driving licence

  • \n

    Commitment to high standards of safety and quality
