Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager & Estimator to lead heavy civil and municipal infrastructure projects out of Gillette, WY. This is a dual-threat leadership role designed for a hands-on professional who excels at both hard bidding/estimating and full-lifecycle project execution. You will serve as the primary operational leader, taking full ownership of project planning, financial performance, field coordination, and team development while maintaining uncompromising standards for safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Estimating & Hard Bidding: Lead hard bid processes, assemble accurate cost estimates, respond to bid requests, and oversee total project bidding for heavy highway, municipal, and utility infrastructure projects.
- Project Execution & Planning: Manage projects from pre-construction through final closeout, overseeing schedules, subcontracts, material orders, and equipment needs.
- Financial & Budgetary Management: Take full ownership of job costs, profitability, revenue forecasting, billing, and margin tracking; review goals regularly with executive leadership and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Field & Team Leadership: Direct and mentor project managers, estimators, and field staff; coordinate daily operations with Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental and safety regulations.

Education and Qualifications:

- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent work experience, paired with 5+ years of experience running heavy highway, municipal, or commercial construction projects.
- Supervisory Leadership: 3+ years in a supervisory role with proven ability to hire, mentor, and hold teams accountable.
- Estimating Expertise: Strong background in hard bidding, quantity take-offs, and competitive bid submission.
- Software & Technology: Proficiency with industry programs such as HCSS, Bluebeam Revu, MS Project, and standard office software across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Professional Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, physical ability to navigate active job sites in varying weather conditions, and flexibility for local travel and occasional overnight stays.
