Project Manager – The Company
An excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialist contractors operating within the social housing, energy efficiency and decarbonisation sectors.
The business delivers large-scale improvement and retrofit programmes for housing associations and public-sector clients across the UK, with a significant and growing pipeline of work across the South West.
Projects incorporate a broad range of works including external and internal improvements, insulation, roofing, windows and doors, ventilation, renewable technologies and wider energy-efficiency upgrades.
This would suit either an experienced Project Manager or a strong Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career.
Project Manager – The Role
Based predominantly on site in the Exeter area, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of social housing improvement and retrofit works, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing day-to-day site and project delivery
* Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour and specialist trades
* Driving programme and ensuring key deadlines are achieved
* Maintaining excellent health & safety standards across site
* Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed correctly first time
* Liaising with clients, and internal project teams
* Managing site documentation, progress reporting and compliance
* Identifying and resolving delivery issues before they affect programme
* Supporting successful handover and completion of works
Project Manager – The Person
We are looking for someone with a strong construction delivery background who is comfortable managing busy, live sites.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Project Manager or experienced Site Manager
* A strong background in construction, refurbishment, maintenance or social housing
* Experience managing multiple subcontractors and work packages
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* SMSTS
* Full UK driving licence

There is a substantial long-term requirement for upgrading and decarbonising existing housing stock, giving the business a strong pipeline and excellent scope for continued growth.
For an experienced Site Manager, it also represents a genuine opportunity to step up into project management with a business delivering increasingly large and complex programmes.
Salary circa £55,000 plus company van and package.
Immediate availability would be advantageous, although candidates on notice will also be considered
