Project Manager – Engineering Department
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate engineering projects from initiation through delivery. This position plays a critical role in aligning cross-functional teams to ensure project success in a manufacturing and automation environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept development to installation and commissioning
- Coordinate with design engineers, controls engineers, manufacturing teams, and external vendors to ensure project alignment and timely delivery
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers, providing regular updates on project status
- Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and maintain documentation
- Facilitate design reviews, status meetings, and post-project evaluations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing, industrial automation, or engineering services environment
- Demonstrated expertise in managing custom automation, robotics, or integrated systems projects
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering disciplines
- Excellent skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
