Title: Engineering Project Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Pay Rate: $65-75.50/HR
Summary:
We are seeking an Engineering Project Management Support specialist for one of our clients to provide support to our program managers and engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with project planning, coordination, and execution, as well as providing general administrative support to the engineering team.
- Key Responsibilities: Lead project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting
- Manage control accounts, including maintaining earned value measures
- Track and report on project progress, identifying and escalating any issues or concerns
- Coordinate communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on CAM-related activities, including variance analysis and corrective action - Assist with project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project status reports
- Develop and maintain project management tools and templates to support project delivery
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, to ensure effective project execution.
Skills Required: Strong knowledge of project management principles, including project scheduling and earned value management
- Analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with ability to work effectively with senior leadership, engineering managers, and teams
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel.
Experience Required: 8+ years of experience in project management, control account management, or a related field in a product development environment
- Proven track record of leading and directing large-scale projects, with a strong focus on CAM, earned value management, and project performance
- Experience with project management software and tools, such as MS Project, PM Compass, or OpenPlan
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or project management
