As a Project Manager in the Wet Utilities division, you will lead cross-functional teams through every stage of the project life cycle—from planning and design to execution and completion. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards. Your leadership, technical knowledge, and relationship-building skills will be key to driving project success and fostering long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Direct and coordinate the efforts of a cross-functional team, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, from planning and defining scope to design, execution, and successful completion.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with approved design specifications, safety guidelines, and industry standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track milestones, budget, and key metrics to ensure project progress. Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Vendor and Consultant Management: Select, negotiate contracts, and oversee the performance of external consultants and vendors.
- Problem Solving: Resolve technical challenges independently, escalating only the most complex issues to upper management.
- Team Mentorship: Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members, serving as a first-line supervisor when needed.
- Business Development: Engage in networking, identify potential projects, prepare proposals, and contribute to business growth efforts.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management or a similar role
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and project management software
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to clients and stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams in an engineering environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and project management skills
