Merz Metal is a family-owned, fast-paced fabrication and machining company looking for a driven Project Manager who can estimate, sell, and execute work at a high level. This role is critical to our growth—we expect results, accountability, and urgency.

What You’ll Do

• Generate and pursue new project opportunities
• Prepare accurate bids from drawings, specs, and customer requests
• Manage all quotes, bid logs, and deadlines (on time—every time)
• Coordinate with vendors, shop, and field teams to ensure smooth execution
• Oversee projects from award to completion, resolving issues quickly
• Maintain strong customer relationships and follow up on outstanding invoices

Performance Expectations

• Quote 500+ labor hours weekly
• Maintain ~20% profit margins on projects
• Enter $50K+ in orders per week
• Submit bids ahead of deadlines (speed matters—we aim to be first)

• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects without missing deadlines
