Job Title: Project Manager - DOT Estimator

(Road & Bridge Construction)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay: Starting at $25/hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time

We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Project Manager with DOT estimating experience who is seeking a long-term opportunity.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing road and bridge construction projects, preparing DOT estimates, reading and interpreting DOT maps and plans, and working closely with field crews to ensure successful project execution. This role is ideal for someone with field experience, knowledge of 811 regulations, and ability lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for DOT-related construction projects (roads and bridges).

· Read and interpret DOT maps, plans and specifications.

· Coordinate projects schedules, resources, and subcontractors.

· Work directly alongside construction crews to ensure job site efficiency and safety.

· Communicate with vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including 811 utility marking standards.

· Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and budgets.

· Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in DOT construction projects.

· Strong knowledge of DOT maps, road/bridge construction, and estimating.

· Familiarity with 811 regulations and underground utility locating.

· Willingness to work on-site and alongside crews-THIS IS NOT A DESK-ONLY JOB.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Dependable, organized, and committed to long-term employment.

· Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications:

· OSHA certified.

· Experience with project management or estimation software.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
