About the Position
Dexis is seeking a Project Manager to provide on-site support to the Department of Defense's (DoD) Office of the General Counsel (OGC) Office of Information Counsel (OIC). The Project Manager will lead a contract team providing highly effective and timely legal review and advice in support of DoD mission requirements and in coordination with other U.S. Government departments and agencies.
OGC(OIC) is responsible for providing legal advice on information law and conducting document review and providing other legal support services to OGC. Specifically, OIC provides DoD-wide legal advice and assistance on a variety of information law areas, including FOIA; privacy; civil liberties; records management; rulemaking; public affairs; collections of information; and litigation support, inquiries, and investigations. This practice area generally encompasses legal support concerning the creation, collection, use, maintenance, retention, safeguarding, disclosure of data and records. OIC collects and processes hundreds of thousands of documents per year for use in a variety of areas including, but not limited to FOIA, civil litigation, congressional and other inquiries and investigations.
This full-time position is located in the Washington, D.C. area and is required to be on-site full time, subject to change if requirements shift.
This position requires a candidate to hold an active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice, recommendations, and documentation to improve performance and maintain high standards for support services.
- Create monthly workload/status reports to provide accurate and complete data concerning activities and performance. The report shall summarize the workload speed, accuracy, volume, completion, and any obstacles encountered for the previous two weeks and provide accurate and complete data concerning the numbers of pages of records returned as incorrect government personnel and the number of pages submitted for review within the timelines set forth in a particular case.
- Conduct daily management of OGC(OIC) Contractor personnel and project activities.
- Ensure operations match standard operating procedures.
- Ensure OGC(OIC) contractor personnel operate in accordance with the office standard operating procedures unless otherwise instructed.
- Manage the quality control program, including quality control reviews, quality control workflow development general skills enhancement training; performance assessment; targeted training in response to skills gaps.
- Facilitate communication between Government and Contractor staff to ensure cases and tasks are properly completed in an effective and efficient manner, meeting deadlines and submitting error free products.
- Manage Contractor personnel time allocation and priorities to ensure it matches Government operational requirements.
- Monitor case progress and establish deadlines as needed. Ensure deadlines are met.
- Review workflows and communication channels to ensure optimized Contractor support.
- Evaluate Contractor personnel performance.
Qualifications
- Active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years of relevant project and personnel management experience.
- Certification in project management or equivalent project management experience.
Qualifications
- Master's degree .
- Previous government, law office, corporate general counsel office, or JAG office experience is highly desired.
- DoD experienced .
