Project Manager, Demolition/Decommissioning

Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Support the Canada-wide team working on a diverse range of clients and engineering projects including, demolition and site closure projects Produce design calculations and contribute to the formulation of design concepts and technical specifications for demolition and site closure projects Assist in quantity take-off and cost estimating assignments Coordinating internal GHD environmental disciplines and external sub-consultants Attending and presenting in client meetings Preparing closure reports, pre-feasibility and feasibility level studies, technical reports and hazardous material survey reports Preparing proposals for demolition plans, hazardous materials surveys and site closure studies Conduct hazardous materials sampling, and train other staff. Deliver and be accountable for technical assignments Oversee contractors during site closure and demolition works Provide contract administration support to clients during closure and demolition projects What you will bring to the team: (Scientist will also be considered if they meet the qualification requirements): A post-secondary education in environmental science, environmental engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, building science or a related discipline 5 - 7 years project experience with a specific focus within the demolition and/or site closure field would be preferred. Experience in building construction, hazardous material abatement projects and environmental remediation also considered an asset. Quantity take-off and/or estimating experience is advantageous Experience in all stages of the project life-cycle, from preparing bids, field work oversite, to data analysis and reporting Strong communication skills Business development capabilities an asset Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely Adaptability and a flexible approach to working across a variety of projects Valid driver's license (required for this role)
