Job Description

Contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East seek an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to oversee a £4m refurbishment scheme from pre-construction through to handover.\n\nWorking closely with the Directors, you will oversee all site operations, manage subcontractors, control programme and budget, and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage the project from mobilisation to completion\n\n * \n\n Develop, manage, and monitor the project programme\n\n * \n\n Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour\n\n * \n\n Chair site meetings and report progress to Directors\n\n * \n\n Ensure works are delivered to specification, on time and within budget\n\n * \n\n Monitor project costs, variations, and cash flow\n\n * \n\n Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor on valuations and final accounts\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety regulations\n\n * \n\n Oversee RAMS and ensure site documentation is up to date\n\n * \n\n Ensure works meet contractual and regulatory requirements\n\n * \n\n Act as the primary point of contact for the client and consultants\n\n * \n\n Provide clear and regular progress updates\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience managing refurbishment projects c£2m–£5m\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of construction processes and sequencing\n\n * \n\n Experience working within a small to medium-sized contractor environment\n\n * \n\n Excellent organisational and leadership skills\n\n * \n\n Strong commercial awareness\n\n * \n\n SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card ), and First Aid\n\n * \n\n Proficient in MS Project or similar planning software\n\n * \n\n Proactive and solution-focused
