We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team at Ballow Construction Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing active construction sites, managing permitting processes, and ensuring that projects run smoothly from initiation to completion. This position is in-office based at our San Diego location. As a key member of the construction team, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

Manage permitting processes and regulatory compliance for all active construction projects.

Collaborate with superintendents, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

Review and approve project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.

Monitor progress and resolve any project-related issues or delays.

Ensure that safety standards and procedures are followed at all times on-site.

Provide regular updates to senior management and clients regarding project status, including any risks or delays.

Assist in procurement processes and evaluate subcontractor bids.

Maintain documentation related to permits, construction contracts, and changes in scope.

Ensure project documentation is kept up-to-date and accurately stored.

Support the development and training of junior team members as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in construction project management.

Proven experience in managing permitting processes and handling regulatory compliance.

Strong background in active construction and project management in a leadership role.

Solid understanding of construction industry best practices, codes, and safety regulations.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, BuilderTrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work effectively with contractors, clients, and internal teams.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications:

Experience as a Superintendent or in a similar on-site leadership role is a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.

Familiarity with sustainable building practices or green construction is a plus.
