JOB SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service.  Provides overall project management support for several small ($100k-$500k) to medium ($500k-$1M) projects or on one large ($1M-$10M) project with the responsibility for the completion and financial outcome.  Is responsible for an average annual billing of approximately $6M.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client.

·         Oversee the material submittal process.

·         Ensure all materials are released, personnel is scheduled, evaluate cost of labor and develop labor forecasts for budget.

·         Resolve all issues with projects to ensure that the Company is paid for job changes and that the GC maintains accurate and efficient schedules.

·         Responsible for strategic planning, time management and project organization.

·         Review reported project issues and communicate with all appropriate personnel to ensure that problems are resolved.

·         Prepare change order estimates and maintain change order log.

·         Prepare construction budget.

·         Review contract scope and terms and conditions.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

·         High School Diploma; 3 to 6 years of Project Manager experience.

·         4-year relevant college degree :  Business/Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Project Management

·         Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.

·         Strong management and leadership skills.

·         Experience with union workforces, labor rate calculations and collective bargaining agreements .

·         Thorough knowledge of project scheduling, project cost tracking, procurement.

·         Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.  Experience with estimating software a plus.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

General Office indoor environment, sitting, standing, typing, carrying or walking under normal situations; work is primarily indoors with the exception of meetings or job-walk’s etc. Normal office conditions such as LED and/or fluorescent lighting, air conditioning and heating with low noise. Occasional lifting of plans or related bid documents.
