Job Role: Project Manager

Location: Cologne / Kunzalsau, Germany

Contract Role

Work Mode : Hybrid (3 days from office)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop and maintain a detailed project plan outlining tasks, milestones, timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies for the project.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including senior management, project team members, vendors, and business units, to ensure alignment and support for the migration project.
  3. Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure efficient utilization and adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  4. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues that may impact the successful delivery of the migration project. Develop contingency plans and escalation procedures as needed.
  5. Quality Assurance: Establish quality standards and processes for the migration project, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  6. Change Management: Develop and implement change management processes to manage changes to project scope, requirements, and deliverables throughout the migration project lifecycle.
  7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress, performance, and key metrics against established baselines. Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and updates to project stakeholders.
  8. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers involved in the migration project to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  9. Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement: Facilitate lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of the migration project to capture insights, identify areas for improvement, and apply best practices to future projects.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing complex IT projects, in a project management role (Total Experience: 12+ years) crisis management, or operations, ideally with exposure to technical/product teams
  • Track record of leading cross-functional, high-pressure programs and launches
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Microsoft Project, Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing project resources in a matrixed organization.
  • Professional fluency in German and English—reading, writing, and spoken—required for managing regional stakeholders, technical coordination, and documentation.
