Role Overview: We are hiring a Project Manager – Capital Projects on behalf of a leading Life Sciences client. This is a critical consulting role supporting the delivery of major capital projects, including new facility builds and site expansions.
You will manage projects across their full lifecycle—from design and construction to qualification and turnover—ensuring compliance with GxP regulations and alignment with business objectives.
This role requires flexibility for on-site work and involves significant travel depending on project assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage capital projects from planning through execution and closeout, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, validation, quality, and operations.
- Oversee procurement, vendor coordination, and contractor activities to meet key milestones.
- Drive project reporting, stakeholder updates, risk tracking, and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and internal quality/safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support facility readiness activities and seamless handover to manufacturing and validation teams.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external project delivery teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced degree or PMP certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience in GxP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environments.
- Demonstrated success leading capital projects through full lifecycle phases: design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and turnover.
- Deep understanding of FDA, GMP, and validation standards for manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to manage project controls, contractor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong experience with engineering design review, construction coordination, and procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project tracking/reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
